Days w/o meds: 33- and diggin' it, baby!

This is probably the first time in my adult life that I've had the opportunity to really get to know just who the hell I really am, warts and all. Guess what? I'm liking this "me" more and more. However, I guaran-damn-tee that I'd be utterly screwed if I tried to go this long without certain gifts. Like what? Daily maintenance of my recovery and spiritual condition (both tied for first place, believe it!), a loving and supportive nuclear family which includes only two local "family of the heart" 100%. This is a grand total of a mere 5 humans being who are the only ones I consider to be 100% qualified to take my inventory at any given time. I reckon some others just don't trust me enough to know that I now know whether or not I'm okay. Want to know how much I trust them? I can hear the sound of phones being readied to dial DCF as I type...

It doesn't matter. My house is in order on so many levels now, and has been maintained as such for quite a while. I'm not claiming perfection. Hell no. Progress, friends. Who wants to be perfect anyway? We've got a whole dang nation of folks sufferring - and even dying - because they try to measure up to someone else's yardstick. Don't believe me? Sure, there are going to be plenty of repeat results. My point is: where Casa del fugi, and especially her matriarch a/k/a Benevolent Minor Goddess (namely moi) are concerned, all is well. If anyone known to me personally needs tangible proof, please just call first to make sure I'm home. Otherwise, don't resort to having the state paid flunkies calm your fears. Besides, I'd feel more secure in our relationship(s) knowing you respect me enough to approach me one-to-one. 'Nuff said.
